We are pleased to announce that we are opening up registration for a course of INSOL vaccinations to our clients with sweet itch sufferers.
The Insol vaccine, manufactured for control of ringworm in horses, is recognised as an off licence treatment option for horses and ponies suffering from sweet itch. Some positive results have been seen in reducing clinical signs of sweet itch in certain horses, when the vaccine is given before clinical signs appear.
The first vaccine is given around FEBRUARY, before exposure to the Culicoides midge. 2 injections of the vaccine are required with an interval of 2 weeks.
If your horse and pony suffers from sweet itch, and you would like to register your interest in receiving the INSOL vaccination course, then please register your details on this form before Friday 8th December.
Please note that pre-payment is required for the vaccine course which will be taken upon the completion of the registration form, the fee is £200 which does not include your visit fee, this will be charged at a later date.
If you would like to discuss the vaccine further then please ring the clinic to speak to Katie.
