Due to our upcoming move to a brand-new practice premises, we are looking to expand our team and find enthusiastic and fun team members to join us in our next venture.

If you know of Newnham Court Equine, you will know that we are the only proudly independent Equine Hospital within Kent. Being independent allows us to have complete control over how we work, from the products we stock to our values and behaviours, our team have input into the running of the hospital and help shape their own workplace to promote a positive and inclusive culture.

We’re small but mighty! With all the knowledge, equipment and skills our hospital possesses, there’s very little we cannot do. Our services are vast and many can be carried out both in house and on the road thanks to our mobile equipment. From routine health care visits, to complex surgical procedures, we offer a whole encompassing service to the horse owners of Kent.

About the Job

We’re a flexible bunch here, and fully promote a healthy work/life balance. With this in mind, you will be working a four day week, 8am-5pm. We are happy to consider flexible and part time working. Holiday and sickness cover may be required at busy times.

You will initially be on a fixed term, 12-month contract which could lead to permanent employment.

​​

Employed as a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients. You will be required to meet and greet them, and deal with any appointment bookings, questions or concerns they may have both face to face and on the phone. Working alongside the customer service team, you will deliver high levels of care and support for our clients, demonstrating a five star service and leaving them with a positive experience. General administrative duties such as filing, scanning, emailing and postage are part of your role, along with general maintenance and upkeep of the reception area.

About You

We are extremely fortunate to have a tightknit, fun and passionate team. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone that has a spring in their step, is confident, eager to learn and most importantly a team player. We are looking for a person that will thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment, who will have the ability to always remain professional and calm.

​

It is essential that you will be proficient in all Microsoft programmes, as part of your role will require you to create documents, letters and spreadsheets. It is also required that you will have previous experience in both a customer facing role, and within the equine industry.

Desired but not essential is the ability to make a great cup of tea!
